Welcome to Terra Alta Senior Center! We offer many activities and services for older adults aged 60 and better in and around Terra Alta, West Virginia. Our clean, spacious facility is handicap-accessible and includes a fully-equipped kitchen and a generously sized multipurpose area.

Activities
Healthy Steps for Older Adults
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Adults aged 50+ and adults of any age with a disability are invited to participate in this fun, socially engaging 4-hour interventional class. A fall screening and assessment is provided, as well as education on how to reduce the incidence of falls. Participants can learn the common causes of falls, identify and problem solve barriers to change, and other fall awareness skills. Frequent breaks are provided and class participants learn a wide range of physical activities they can do at home to help improve strength and balance to reduce the risk of falls.

Join us for music at 10:00 AM every 1st Thursday and 2nd Tuesday of the month.
BINGO
Join us for BINGO at 10:00 AM every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. We hold a monthly 50/50 raffle.

We are currently taking orders for our famous Chili & Cornbread Fundraiser! Take a break from cooking dinner tonight and enjoy a delicious, homestyle meal of hearty chili with a generous side of cornbread. Please call 304-789-2415 to place your order.

Preston County Senior Citizens, Inc. is committed to promoting the health, safety, and independence of senior Prestonians. In addition to our In-Home Care Programs, we offer several services designed to improve access to medical care and enhance the overall wellness of older adults.
Financial & Information Services
Seniors with low to moderate incomes are invited to participate in several valuable programs offered through Preston County Senior Citizens, Inc. These services are designed to empower, educate, and assist seniors as they navigate retirement on a fixed income.
Join Our Birthday Club
Let us know which month you were born and we will celebrate with you. Our Birthday Club meets monthly.
Senior Club Meetings
The Terra Alta Senior Citizens Club meets monthly for fellowship, covered-dish dinners, and activities. A registered nurse is present to provide health screenings and answer your health-related questions. Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Terra Alta Senior Citizens Center.
Get Involved!
At Terra Alta Senior Center, there are many opportunities to get involved. We are always looking for volunteers to help with making the Center a fun, beneficial place for older adults to enjoy a hot meal, socialize, and maintain an active, independent lifestyle. Whether you are a community member of any age or an older adult yourself, we invite you to share a favorite hobby, teach a class, help with a fundraiser, or help us help you and your neighbors with a wide range of essential tasks. We are People Helping People in Preston County.
