Preston County Senior Citizens, Inc. operates several nutrition programs for seniors throughout Preston County, WV. Our congregate and home-delivered meal menus have been established by a registered dietician to provide the high-quality nutrition older adults need while meeting regional food preferences. Each meal provides 1/3 of the USDA recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals. These hot, delicious meals are available to help maintain and restore health while promoting socialization.
Have You Used the New Touchscreen System Yet?
When you come into the Senior Center, you can use our new touchscreen system to reserve up to 2 weeks of lunches. You can also use this convenient system to select activities.
Join us for lunch at your nearest Senior Center weekdays at noon. Senior centers are located in Bruceton Mills, Kingwood, Masontown, Newburg, Rowlesburg, Terra Alta, and Tunnelton, WV. Transportation is available from your home to your nearest Senior Center and back.
If you are temporarily homebound, we will deliver lunch to you. Home-delivered meals support your nutritional status when your health is compromised due to illness or injury. You also benefit from the daily safety check.
Nutrition Assessments & Diet Instruction
Our on-site registered nurse provides nutrition assessments and instruction on specific diets. The nurse will refer you to a registered dietitian if needed.
Ensure Plus is available to everyone, regardless of age, who needs nutrition supplements. This low-cost nutrition supplement is available at the Senior Center in Kingwood.
Farmers Market Coupon Program
Farmers Market Coupons are provided by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. We expect to have the Farmers Market Vouchers available to distribute starting July 1st. You must be 60 years of age or older to receive these vouchers.
